— ‘Remote' is an archive of work documenting the lives of numerous queer people around the world throughout the global lockdown.This selection aims to offer a glimpse into those lives immortalised when the featured models agreed to pose nude remotely over a video call for just a few hours. The collection not only represents the evolution of the artist's work, but also documents how both the artist and the model cooperate to realise a common goal through growing comfortable around each other. While the pandemic proved to be a destructive and lonely experience for many, it also facilitated new ways of social interaction, leaving tactility in the past and paving the way for the remote. This book is a document of an artist adapting to this new way of work - from life drawing to video drawing. It was this novel way of interacting with people that led to the inspiration that seeps through the pages of this work.
